Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund

Established as the first step toward advancing the goals of the 2016 Delaware River Basin Conservation Act, the Delaware Watershed Conservation Fund provides grants to help partners identify, plan, and implement projects in the watershed that support four conservation priorities:

  1. Reducing flooding and runoff
  2. Restoring fish and wildlife habitats
  3. Improving water quality
  4. Enhancing safe recreational access for the public

The grant program is administered by the Service's Delaware River Basin Restoration Program in collaboration with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The annual Request for Proposals for the fund opens for two months in mid winter. Grants are awarded in late summer. For information on how to apply, visit the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Delaware River Program page.
