About Christina Wang
Christina is the Deputy Project Leader at the CRFWCO where she supervises the Science Communication and Outreach, Passage and Habitat Assessment and Natural Populations Assessment programs, as well as the CRFWCO administration group. She also works with dedicated tribal, federal and state partners on the Pacific Lamprey Conservation Initiative, a collaborative effort to conserve Pacific Lamprey throughout its U.S. range. She serve as Co-Chair of the Conservation Team and Chairperson of the Lamprey Technical Workgroup.
Background: Christina has worked for USFWS at the CRFWCO since 2003. She started as a lamprey field biologist, served as the non-salmonid program manager and then switched to conservation planning when the Lamprey Initiative commenced in 2008. Christina have a M.S. in Marine Biology from California State University, Long Beach where she studied population genetics of Kelp Bass.
