About This Position
Help make a difference! Join us as a volunteer and be part of something bigger! The mission of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people - and we cannot do it without YOU!
Visitor center volunteers welcome and interact with visitors from all over. Local visitors from Louisiana and the Gulf Coast frequent the visitor center as well as out of state residents and visitors from abroad. Volunteers will help visitors enjoy the interesting and interactive exhibits available. They will also, help highlight self-guided activities available to visitors. Volunteers will have the opportunity to share their knowledge on local flora, fauna, and the complex history and culture of the headquarter grounds.
