COURSE SESSION
Target Audience:
MOCC Boat Operators and crews who are engaged in activities with gear over the side of watercraft.
Summary and Objectives:
This course will provide general knowledge of scientific boating operations and risks to all individuals conducting scientific operations on a boat to enable them to identify, communicate, and mitigate risks. This course teaches learners the types of risks and hazards common to scientific boating operations and how to communicate and mitigate those risks.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and assess the risks associated with operations.
- Communicate risks to those who need to know.
- Mitigate those risks.
