Taking Flight with DISC

COURSE SESSION

Target Audience

All USFWS employees

Summary and Objectives

Taking Flight with IDSC is based on the Eagle, Parrot, Dove, and Owl styles, and it’s all about you! Which Bird are You? The Taking Flight Profile provides an overview of the four styles and contains a wealth of personalized information that identifies the employees’ overall characteristics, strengths, work tendencies, motivators, needs, desired environment, behaviors during conflict, stress response, communication needs, and more! Join other employees as they build self-awareness in this interactive training. Every employee is a co-creator of workplace culture. When people understand their own personality and behavioral style and show respect for individual differences, they impact the culture in a very positive way.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand Taking Flight with DISC style
  • Improve self-regulation of emotions and reactions to situations.
  • Express emotions in ways that are appropriate for the time, place, and culture.
  • Use Taking Flight with DISC to support your peers, communicate better, improve group performance, and enhance organizational skills.
